Frequently Asked Questions
How is StandPoint different from other market research firms?
- To us, research is the tool, not the end result. We first define and understand the business objectives of our clients, before designing the research.
- We are experienced marketers as well as being market researchers and our expertise in product development and branding sets our deliverables apart.
- All of our analysts are trained in our unique Meta ApproachSM. Our deliverables often are an amalgam of primary research, secondary research, and insights from key opinion leaders. We combine that with deep industry experience and a seasoned understanding of consumer behavior.
Do you only do projects based in the United States?
No, we pride ourselves on our international experience and capabilities. We understand the additional complexity that is involved with international research and we have our own internal resource as well as a network of vendors and partners around the globe.
How long does a market research project take?
We pride ourselves on working fast without compromising quality. For a domestic project, this process usually takes from 4 – 6 weeks. For an international project, an additional 3-5 weeks should be planned. These times are only guidelines and multi-faceted qualitative and quantitative projects can take months of planning and execution. The complexity of the assignment is what determines the final timeline.
How much does a market research project cost?
Since all projects are customized for the client, pricing depends on the scope of the project.
I’m a market research manager. Why should I hire StandPoint?
We understand the needs of market research managers because we have been in your position. We will deliver your project on time, on budget with no surprises. Furthermore, the report will be complete, well-written and contain good data, ready to pass on to your management or internal client.
I am not a market researcher. Will it be difficult for me to understand the report?
No. We write our reports in clear language. The reports we deliver are designed to be a resource for the product or brand manager, rather than just for the research department. Data is of course, included in the report, but we also devote space to summarizing the findings and presenting recommendations based on our industry knowledge and the particular circumstance of your company.
What is your research philosophy?
When working with clients, our first priority is to understand the business imperatives and the key decisions that the research will support. The research objectives and information needs will emanate from that.
Are you a full-service market research firm?
Yes, we have the experience and ability to competently manage a full range of quantitative and qualitative projects, both domestic and international.
How do I get a quote on a market research project?
Contact us to explain what your needs are. We will give your our recommendation on how to most effectively approach the project and can then email you a detailed proposal with pricing.
